Bronda, the fifth restaurant by Helsinki’s culinary super duo Tomi Björck and Matti Wikberg, has liven up Eteläesplanadi. “We wanted to create a restaurant where customers feel at home. We also wanted it to be a place that we enjoy,” the two guys explain. Located on the corner of Eteläesplanadi and Korkeavuorenkatu, the fresh and impressive space with high ceilings and large windows offers an excellent setting for the duo’s new ideas. The lounge bar is open until late and it offers an excellent view and livens up the slightly stagnant Eteläesplanadi area. You don’t even need a reservation to eat or enjoy fresh drinks at the bar.

During weekends there is DJ playing easy going music from different centuries at Bronda´s bar. The music style can be anything from soul to R&B, old rock or rap, depending of the DJ. Also the customers at our restaurants side can enjoy of his melodies. Bronda´s atmosphere is lively and social.

The culinary philosophy of Bronda, as with all BW restaurants, is based on the best ingredients available and entirely handmade food.

Bronda’s dishes heavily reflect Europe and particularly the owners’ favorite countries which are Spain, Italy and France. While Boulevard Social gets its inspiration from the southern Mediterranean countries, Bronda’s food is based on the flavors of the major European culinary countries around the Mediterranean Sea.

The menu includes several well-known and loved classics served in a modern and elegant manner, as Björck always does. Having a Finnish origin is also important and therefore the kitchen mainly uses Finnish ingredients that are in season. The experience is meant to be social and food can be shared, just like in Björck and Wikberg’s other restaurants.

Bronda’s menu has been carefully planned. “We have traveled all over Europe and also America to find new ideas and inspiration. The best ideas ended up on Bronda’s first menu where every dish is unique,” Björck says.


Bar Bronda

Bar Bronda brings the international “all day bar” atmosphere to Helsinki. The bar is open to everyone all day, whether you want to drink a cup of coffee, enjoy quality cocktails, a glass of first-class champagne or wine or perhaps hold a meeting or spend a relaxed evening with your friends. The windows open up a view of the Esplanadi Park.

The bar offers an extensive snack menu, salads and burgers. From Wednesdays to Thursdays DJ is playing music between 4 pm till 8 pm and on Fridays and Saturdays we have a DJ playing music from 4pm until late. The bar has some 90 seats. Bar Bronda is open from 11am until midnight on Mondays and Tuesdays and from lunch time until 01:30am from Wednesday to Saturday.


The most popular Farang, Gaijin and Boulevard Social drinks are also available at Bronda. The bar’s drink list includes the best from Björck and Wikberg’s restaurants as well as classic cocktails. The bar also has a comprehensive champagne and wine list. You can always enjoy some food with the fantastic drinks and you will never need a reservation to eat at the bar.

Between 11.7.-14.8.2016 Bronda serves whole day from Tuesday to Thursday at 12pm-12am (kitchen is open until 10pm), from Friday to Saturday at 12pm-02am (kitchen is open until 10pm), on Sundays and Mondays the restaurant is closed.

You are always welcome to eat at Bronda, even if you don’t have a reservation. If the tables are full, we have a lounge bar with 90 seats and you are warmly welcome to enjoy food and cocktails there aswell.

PARK LIFE DJ and Bronda bartenders invite You to enjoy delicious cocktails and small snacks from 3 pm every day. On Saturdays DJ treats you with good rythms till late night.

Please note that the restaurant has a few different dinner reservation times: 5 pm – 7:30 pm, 5:30 pm – 8 pm or 6 pm – 8:30 pm, which means that your reservation will be valid during the given period of time. You can also make a reservation for 8 pm or later. The restaurant is open from Monday through Saturday.

To ensure a smooth dinner experience, we ask groups of over 12 people to select a uniform menu in advance. If you are making a lunch reservation for a group of 10 or more, we ask you to make an order in advance. We will send you the menu options electronically after our sales service has received your reservation. We take special dietary needs into consideration based on the information provided in advance.

Our sales service is open during weekdays Mon-Fri 9 am – 6 pm, Sat 11.30 am – 5 pm and on Sun 10 am – 5 pm. At other times you can call to the restaurant. Please remember that our sales service has different hours during public holidays.

Our charity work


Farang and World Vision have together organized a Farang for Sri Lanka benefit dinner for the past several years now. The proceeds from the event go towards combating childhood malnutrition in Sri Lanka. With the money raised malnourished children will be provided with health care services and their families will be educated about healthy nutrition.

The dinner guests get to enjoy a unique menu inspired by Southeast Asia as well as live entertainment. Performers that have entertained our guests on the night include Uniikki, Jontte Valosaari, Timo Pieni Huijaus, Elastinen, Saara Aalto, Teemu Roivainen, Sami Hedberg, SÄX and Mia Hafrén.



Red Nose Day

The annual Red Nose Day campaign organized by the Nose Day Foundation raises funds to support children in developing countries. The campaign’s vision is for everyone in Finland to take some sort of action to help children in developing countries achieve a life of dignity. People across the country come together to move towards this goal by having fun and raising funds.

BW-Restaurants supports the campaign by selling a special cocktail at its restaurants on Red Nose Day. The cocktail is, of course, decorated with a bright red nose!

Good Holiday Spirit

The Good Holiday Spirit campaign supports low-income families in Finland. The donations are used to give €70 gift vouchers to families living on a low income or otherwise facing difficult situations in life. With the vouchers they can buy food around Christmas time. The campaign begins at the end of November and continues until Christmas Eve.
At 2015 BW-Restaurants donated one euro to the campaign for each cookbook sold between the 1st and 22nd of December.



The Movember Foundation’s aim is to raise awareness of men’s health globally. Every November men all over the world grow a moustache to support the campaign. Our BW-Restaurants bartenders also grow a moustache in November and create amazing Movember drinks with part of the proceeds going to the Movember Foundation.
